Throughout the year, North Okanagan Hospice Society benefits from events held by various individuals, businesses and organizations within the community. We refer to these as third party events. Craft fairs, community concerts, golf tournaments, raffles, art shows, pancake breakfasts and many other creative efforts generate awareness and funds for Hospice programs and services.
If you, your business or community group is interested in conducting an event to benefit Hospice, please contact our Financial Officer. She will be more than happy to assist you with ideas, providing volunteers to assist at the event and to lend a hand with promotion of the event.
Here are some examples of Third Party Events:
Lorna Robb, along with Cheek to Cheek dance instructors and volunteers create a gala evening of music and dance to support Hospice programs. Congratulations to Brenda Thorlakson, Warren Eaton, Carolyn Grant and Jeff Corrigan on their winning dance performances.
The owners, management and staff of Home Building Centre Vernon all participated in the golf tournament and helped to raise funds.
Bruce Davies of Coldstream Truck Parts Ltd. conducts the annual “Vipers Short-Handed Goal Fundraiser”. Coldstream Truck Parts Ltd. makes a donation to Hospice at the end of the hockey season for every short-handed goal scored by the Vipers.
Each year, the quilters support North Okanagan Hospice Society in so many
ways, in addition to the fundraising they also donate quilts to use in
our resident rooms and for decorating purposes.
