October and November 2009
 Journeys through grief are often difficult. The counsellor and specially trained volunteers at Hospice provide compassionate, respectful support through those journeys. In October and November, through our Journeys Campaign newspaper ad and direct mail appeal, we will ask for your support of the Journeys Campaign so that we can continue to assist those facing grief to return to healthy, productive lives.

Well-known local artist, Patricia Lawton, has been painting women’s portraits for the past two years in preparation for this gala evening. An Art Show of original Acrylic paintings. 50% of all proceeds will be in aid of ongoing support of Vernon's Hospice House. Original Works, 2010 Calendars and note cards of the paintings will be for sale, plus a Silent Auction. Delicious Hors D’Oeuvres supplied by "ORA Restaurant" and Entertainment provided by "Lent, Fraser and Wall".

Mike and Beverly Davies of M&B Farms have generously decided to give Hospice two hundred 5 lb boxes of organic cherries from their Lake Country orchard next summer. We will be accepting pre-sales of cherries on a first come-first served basis. Each box is valued at $20.00. Contact Hospice for more information.
